High-Level Discussion on Strengthening Bilateral Security Ties between Sri Lanka and Russia Held at Ministry of Public Security

Today, a significant discussion aimed at enhancing bilateral security relations between Sri Lanka and Russia, as well as addressing international information security, transpired at the Ministry of Public Security. Chaired by Minister Tiran Alles, the meeting featured the participation of key figures, including Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms.

The meeting witnessed the presence of a distinguished Russian delegation, led by Alexander Nikolaevich and Deputy Secretary Oleg Vladimirovich. Noteworthy attendees included a group of ministry officials and Acting Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon. The discussions held during this gathering sought to fortify the security collaboration between the two nations and address pertinent issues related to international information security.
