The Ministry of Women, Child Affairs, and Social Empowerment has announced an increase in the allowance for preschool teachers, effective this month.
Secretary Yamuna Perera stated that Divisional Secretariats have been informed of this change.
The increase was officially notified through a special gazette notification.
The current allowance for preschool teachers is Rs. 2,500, which will be raised to Rs. 5,000 following recent cabinet approval.
