Today, on 3rd February, INS ‘Karanj,’ a submarine of the Indian Navy, made a formal visit to the port of Colombo. The Sri Lanka Navy extended a precise and traditional welcome to the visiting submarine.
Measuring 67.5 meters in length, INS ‘Karanj’ is manned by a crew of 53 under the command of Commander Arunabh.
During the submarine’s stay in the island, Sri Lanka Navy personnel will actively participate in a submarine awareness program. Additionally, the crew of INS ‘Karanj’ plans to explore some of the country’s notable tourist attractions.
The official visit is scheduled to conclude on 5th February, with INS ‘Karanj’ departing the island.
