INS Vela, a submarine of the Indian Navy, arrived at the port of Colombo yesterday (November 10) for a formal visit. The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the submarine in accordance with naval traditions.
Measuring 67.5 meters in length, INS Vela is manned by a crew of 53 and is commanded by Commander Kapil Kumar.
During their stay, crew members are expected to visit various tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. INS Vela will conclude its visit and depart the island on November 13.
