Commissioner General of Examinations Amit Jayasundara announced that an investigation will commence tomorrow (18th) regarding allegations that three questions, similar to those on the Grade 5 Scholarship exam paper, were posted online as part of a model exam paper.
In an interview with Ada Derana, Jayasundara stated that if the investigation confirms the questions were leaked, they will be excluded from the grading process.
The investigation follows reports that a teacher from the Alawwa area had shared a model paper on social media, which allegedly contained three questions identical to those in the first part of the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam.
The committee responsible for preparing the scholarship exam paper convened today to discuss the matter and decided to remove the three questions in question.
A team of investigative officers will travel to the relevant area tomorrow (18th) to conduct the inquiry. A final decision will be made once their report is submitted.
