Sagara Kariyawasam, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, revealed that the SLPP will unveil its presidential candidate decision next Monday.
Sagara Kariyawasam made this announcement during a media briefing held at the party headquarters, where he outlined the upcoming process leading to the selection.
According to Kariyawasam, the decision will be reached following a meeting of the SLPP’s Politburo, scheduled to convene to deliberate and finalize the party’s stance on the presidential candidacy.
Meanwhile, Former Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga has announced that the Executive Committee of the Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will convene next Monday to deliberate on the candidacy of Dhammika Perera.
Weeratunga made this statement while posting on social media, where he shared photos featuring MPs Dhammika Perera and Namal Rajapaksa, asserting the readiness of their presidential and prime ministerial candidates.
