Israeli Nationals in Sri Lanka Can Now Directly Request Police Assistance for Personal Security

Israeli nationals visiting Sri Lanka, whether for tourism or other purposes, can now directly request assistance to ensure their personal protection, according to the Sri Lankan Police.

The Police Media Division announced that visitors requiring assistance can contact Mr. Damayantha Vijaya Sri, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of the Tourist Range and Maritime Division, by calling +94718592651.

“If an Israeli national visiting Sri Lanka, whether as a tourist or for other reasons, feels the need for personal security, they may directly contact this number to receive the necessary support,” the statement said.

Mr. Vijaya Sri will take appropriate action based on the request, ensuring that the situation is handled accordingly.

The police also emphasized the need to verify the identity of those requesting assistance. Israeli nationals are kindly asked to provide the necessary information for this purpose.
