Sumanthiran emphasized that the decision was made following proper procedures and is now accepted by all party members.
“Mavei Senadhiraja and Sreedharan suggested that we reconsider the party’s decision. However, we have made it clear that there is no need to do so. The decision was made following the correct process, and both have now accepted that future discussions with Sajith Premadasa are necessary,” Sumanthiran stated.
When asked about the possibility of collaborating with Anura Kumara Dissanayake if he becomes president, Sumanthiran expressed ITAK’s readiness.
“Yes, we are prepared for that. We have previously worked together during the good governance government. Even if we are in opposition when they come to power, there will be many issues to address together, particularly in the fight against fraud and corruption,” he said.
