The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has announced that it will decide which candidate to support in the upcoming presidential election only after thoroughly reviewing the manifestos of the contenders.
This decision was made during the party’s central committee meeting held yesterday (18) in Vavuniya, which was attended by all party members. The discussions reportedly became heated as differing opinions emerged regarding which candidate ITAK should endorse.
ITAK Member of Parliament Shanakiyan Rasamanickam stated that the party’s final decision will be announced after the main presidential candidates release their manifestos, emphasizing ITAK’s cautious and deliberate approach to its endorsement in the election.
