Litro Gas Lanka has announced its decision not to alter the prices of its domestic LP gas cylinders for the month of February. The Chairman of Litro, Muditha Peiris, conveyed this decision during a special media briefing held this morning (Feb.02). The resolution reflects a thoughtful consideration of the financial challenges faced by the general public.
While international market dynamics would typically warrant an increase in domestic gas cylinder prices, Mr. Peiris highlighted the company’s commitment to alleviating the burden on consumers. Litro Gas has opted to absorb a significant portion of the incurred losses by refraining from adjusting the rates.
In the wake of the price adjustment announced in January, the current rates for Litro Gas cylinders are as follows:
- 12.5kg cylinder: Rs. 4,250
- 5kg cylinder: Rs. 1,707
- 2.3 kg cylinder: Rs. 795
