The Maldives Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday (3) evening and will stay in the country until June 6th.
He was welcomed at Bandaranaike International Airport by State Foreign Affairs Minister Tharaka Balasuriya.
During his visit, Minister Zameer will pay courtesy calls on President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena. He will also hold bilateral talks with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, PC, to explore ways to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries.
In addition, Minister Zameer is scheduled to meet with other senior government officials to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various sectors between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Accompanying Minister Zameer are Sheryna Abdul Samad, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Shiruzimath Sameer, Additional Secretary; and Aishath Fareena, Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
