The Met Department has issued a warning for strong winds and rough seas.
Very strong winds (70-80 km/h) and very rough seas are expected over the Arabian Sea due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.
The Met Department forecasts several spells of showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening or night.
