The Meteorology Department has announced that several spells of showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
Additionally, showers or thundershowers may occur in other parts of the island during the evening or night.
The general public is kindly advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
