The Meteorology Department has announced that showers are expected at times in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Several spells of showers are also anticipated in the Western and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, and Matale districts.
In the evening or night, showers or thundershowers may occur in a few locations within the Eastern and Uva provinces.
Strong winds of about 50 kmph are expected intermittently over the western slopes of the central hills, while fairly strong winds of about 30-40 kmph may occur at times in other parts of the island, the department reported.
