Meteorology Department Predicts Showers and Strong Winds in Several Regions

Several spells of showers are also expected in the Western and North-western provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.

Strong winds of about 50-55 km/h are anticipated at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, along with the Trincomalee, Monaragala, and Hambantota districts.

Elsewhere on the island, fairly strong winds of about 30-40 km/h can be expected.
