The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has issued reminders to former ministers to return their allocated official residences.
According to a senior ministry official, only 14 of the 28 residences have been returned thus far. The ministry has also emphasized that all outstanding electricity and water bills must be settled before the residences are handed back to the government.
Officials have been directed to ensure that all dues are cleared before the properties are returned. The ministry warned that legal action will be taken against former ministers who fail to comply with these reminders.
