A new alliance comprising all political parties and MPs supporting incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election was launched today (05).
The event took place at the Water’s Edge Hotel in Battaramulla, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
During the launch, “the trophy” was unveiled as the symbol of the new alliance, which has been named the “Podujana Eksath Nidahas Peramuna.”
The alliance is led by Prime Minister Gunawardena, with Dr. Ramesh Pathirana appointed as the General Secretary.
