Since its inception, Minister Manusha Nanayakkara’s “Jayagamu Sri Lanka” program has successfully reached numerous districts across the island, providing substantial assistance to both job seekers and those already employed.
The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau, in collaboration with affiliated organizations such as the Shrama Wasana Fund, Garusaru, Smart Youth Club, and Migrant Worker Harasara, oversees the distribution of public welfare payments. The program also supports the Ampara region by providing smart boards for schools and educational materials for students from low-income families.
In addition to promoting employment opportunities, “Jayagamu Sri Lanka” assists low-income and migrant worker families in their business endeavors. The initiative facilitates public interaction with foreign employment agencies and all Ministry of Labor departments, allowing locals to conduct activities that would normally require travel to the Colombo head office.
