NPP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake Promises Peaceful and Democratic Election Campaign

National People’s Power (NPP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized the party’s commitment to a non-confrontational, democratic, and peaceful election campaign during the inauguration of the National People’s Power Policy Center this morning.

Alongside the opening of the Policy Center, Dissanayake also launched his official webpage.

In his address, Dissanayake highlighted the significance of the upcoming election as a pivotal moment in Sri Lanka’s political history. He criticized the previous lack of decisive political power transfer, likening it to the mundane exchange of power between one’s left and right hand. He asserted that the current election will be a historic shift in power dynamics.

Dissanayake expressed his confidence in the National People’s Power’s ability to conduct a peaceful and democratic campaign, contrasting it with what he described as the other party’s tendency to foster corruption and conflict. He underscored the crucial role of the Election Commission, which has been empowered by the constitution to oversee a fair and peaceful election process.

To address and report any violations or anti-democratic actions, Dissanayake announced the establishment of a reporting center. This center aims to expose any irregularities to the public and ensure transparency throughout the campaign.

The new website, featuring advanced AI technology, is designed to strengthen the connection between the NPP and the electorate, providing immediate responses to any queries.
