Addressing the NPP Kandy electorate convention, Lal Kantha, a member of the JVP politburo, asserted that the National People’s Power (NPP) is adopting an inclusive stance by absorbing all progressive groups in society. He contrasted this with the JVP’s previous approach, stating that the JVP used to absorb only a selected group.
Kantha emphasized the significance of garnering support from all sections of society in the ongoing struggle for power. He highlighted the NPP’s commitment to inclusivity, absorbing diverse groups willing to contribute to progressive initiatives.
“We can’t neglect anyone in society in the present struggle. What we, as the JVP, did was absorb only a selected group in society. What we, as the NPP, do is absorb all groups who are willing to do progressive things,” he stated during the convention.
