Over 4,000 Complaints Filed Ahead of Presidential Election, Says Election Commission

The Election Commission has reported receiving a total of 4,031 complaints related to the upcoming presidential election. This includes 203 additional complaints lodged with the commission in the past 24 hours alone.

In a statement, the commission revealed that 3,916 of the complaints were about violations of election laws, while 29 were concerning acts of violence.

On Saturday (14), Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L. Rathnayake noted a slight increase in the number of complaints filed in connection with this year’s presidential election.
