The Postal Department has cancelled the leave of all its employees in preparation for the upcoming General Election. Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe announced that the leave cancellation is effective from today (Oct 23) until November 14.
Postal workers requiring leave for essential reasons must seek approval from their provincial Deputy Postmaster General.
Ranasinghe also confirmed that the acceptance of registered postal vote reserve packets for the General Election will begin today. The election is scheduled to be held on November 14.
