Public Feedback Sought for Sri Lanka’s Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan 2023-2025

The Presidential Secretariat is actively seeking feedback and ideas from the public to contribute to the formulation of Sri Lanka’s Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan, spanning the years 2023-2025.

The OGP, described as a multilateral initiative, aims to foster collaboration among governments, civil society, and citizens to implement open government actions that promote transparency, participation, accountability, and innovation, as stated by the President’s Media Division (PMD) in a recent statement.

Currently, the OGP comprises 75 countries, 104 local governments, and numerous civil society organizations. As an active member of the Open Government Partnership, Sri Lanka is in the process of developing the OGP Action Plan for the period 2023-2025. The plan will be a collaborative effort between the government and civil society stakeholders and will undergo approval as a National Action Plan by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Presidential Secretariat encourages Sri Lankan citizens to actively participate as partners in the co-creation of the OGP Action Plan. By providing valuable inputs, citizens can contribute to the development of actions that promote open, collaborative, and responsive governance in Sri Lanka.

The questionnaire for public input can be accessed through the official website of the Presidential Secretariat at the following link: Presidential Secretariat – OGP Action Plan Questionnaire
