Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa has vowed to ensure that every citizen will have ownership of a house under his administration. He made this promise during a public rally in Nachchaduwa, Anuradhapura, attended by key members of his party and representatives from affiliated groups within the Samagi Jana Sandhanaya.
In his address, Premadasa underscored his commitment to principled politics and policy-driven governance, highlighting his vision for balanced national development that focuses on both rural and urban areas.
“Our policy is to develop villages and cities and build a prosperous nation. Specifically, we aim to implement new programs to provide land and housing for those without. We have crafted housing initiatives for various groups, including rural, urban, upland and lowland plantation workers, fishing communities, the middle class, and disaster-affected populations,” Premadasa stated.
He further announced that the SJB has developed a comprehensive national housing policy to ensure that every citizen can achieve the dream of home ownership, declaring his unwavering commitment to making this right a reality.
