Sajith Premadasa Vows to Correct Injustice Faced by Grade 5 Scholarship Students

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) presidential candidate, Sajith Premadasa, has pledged to rectify the injustice experienced by students who sat for this year’s Grade 5 Scholarship Examination under his government.

Speaking at a public rally in Kegalle, Premadasa criticized President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s administration for failing to prevent the exam paper leak. “Ranil Wickremesinghe says he ‘can,’ but the person who claims to ‘can’ couldn’t even stop the Grade 5 scholarship exam, held under his government, from being leaked,” Premadasa charged.

He highlighted the unfairness caused by the removal of the three leaked questions, which he said impacts hundreds of thousands of children who took the exam.

Premadasa vowed to thoroughly investigate the recurring issue of exam paper leaks and promised to impose the strictest consequences on those responsible. “We will uncover the conspiracy behind this ongoing problem in the country’s education system and take severe action against those involved,” he assured.

Addressing the President directly, Premadasa added, “Everything under your leadership is getting ‘leaked.’ Stop the leakage.”

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to correcting the injustice faced by the affected students, stating, “Under our government, we will ensure that the wrong done to these children is made right.”
