SLTB Assures Uninterrupted Bus Services Amid Election Campaigns

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has announced that despite its buses being used for various presidential election campaign rallies, normal operations have continued without disruption.

Chairman Lalith de Alwis confirmed that no public complaints have been received regarding a shortage of buses.

Alwis assured the public that SLTB buses serving difficult and rural areas will not be allocated for election rallies.

He emphasized that the SLTB is committed to maintaining public convenience throughout the election period.

In compliance with a recent notice from the Election Commission, the SLTB has submitted a report detailing the expenses incurred in providing buses for the presidential election.
