Delivering a special statement in Parliament today (18), President Ranil Wickremesinghe commented on the introduction of the proposed imputed rental income tax.
The President assured that the first property would be exempt from taxation. He also noted that the tax is intended to focus on high-net-worth individuals, not average-income earners, according to the President’s Media Division.
