Sri Lanka is preparing to host a major international music event with plans underway for a concert featuring global superstar Ed Sheeran in January 2025. The announcement was made by Harin Fernando, Minister of Tourism, during a press briefing in Colombo on Monday.
Fernando disclosed, “Recently, a company has expressed interest in bringing Ed Sheeran, one of the key singers, to Sri Lanka in January or February.” He identified Cinnamon Life as the organization leading efforts to bring the renowned artist to the island nation.
If realized, this concert would signify the return of a high-profile international pop star performance to Sri Lanka after a notable hiatus.
