Sri Lanka Telecommunications (Amendment) Bill Passed Without Vote in Parliament

The Sri Lanka Telecommunications (Amendment) Bill was passed without a vote in Parliament today, following amendments.

After the debate on the second reading of the Bill, amendments were added during the committee stage.

The Minister of Technology presented this bill to Parliament on May 10, 2024, to amend the Sri Lanka Telecommunications Act No. 25 of 1991. This Act has now been amended after 28 years.
