Sri Lanka Tourism has unveiled plans for the 7th edition of the National Tourism Awards, celebrating excellence and significant contributions to the travel and tourism industry.
The awards aim to promote and enhance service standards, encourage best practices, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the industry. By recognizing the achievements of individuals and organizations, the awards seek to inspire others to support the sustainable development of tourism in Sri Lanka.
The inaugural National Travel & Tourism Award took place in 2008. Since then, the annual event has gained momentum, highlighting new products and services. The last ceremony was held in 2018, marking a major celebration of industry excellence. However, the continuity of the event was interrupted by the Easter Sunday attacks and the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this context, Sri Lanka Tourism is excited to present the Sri Lanka Tourism Awards 2024.
Award Categories:
The awards cover a broad spectrum of categories to ensure every aspect of the tourism industry is acknowledged. Categories include accommodation, restaurants, tour operators, airlines, MICE tourism, marketing communications, education and training, events, and excellence in service.
