The Sri Lankan government has officially reinstated its previous visa issuance system, effective from midnight yesterday.
Minister of Public Security Vijitha Herath announced that in the past 24 hours, the government has taken swift action to resolve the visa-related issues that had arisen.
As of midnight on September 26, individuals can once again obtain visas through the previous system.
In addition, the government has launched an immediate audit to investigate irregularities related to services provided by VFS Global. This audit will thoroughly examine discrepancies, with legal action to follow as necessary.
