The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the schedule for postal voting in the upcoming General Election 2024. Postal voting will take place on October 20, November 1, and November 4 at all District Secretariats and election offices.
For those unable to vote on these dates, an alternative voting window is available on November 7 and 8, according to the Election Commission.
The certification of postal voter lists is set for October 16, with the lists being issued and delivered to the postal service by October 23. Official ballot papers will be dispatched to post offices on October 26.
Additionally, October 27, 31, and November 3 have been designated as special days for the distribution of polling cards. The final date for the distribution of ballot papers will be November 7, 2024.
