The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has announced that Local Government Elections will be held promptly after the upcoming General Election, in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directive. The Commission assured that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure compliance with the court order and conduct the elections as soon as the General Election concludes.
