According to data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), tourism earnings from January to October 2024 totaled USD 2,533.7 million. This represents a substantial 59% increase compared to the USD 1,593.4 million recorded during the same period in 2023.
Tourist arrivals also saw a significant rise, with over 1.6 million visitors arriving in the country from January to October 2024, marking a 44% year-to-date increase.
