Sun to be Directly Over Sri Lanka from April 5 to April 15, Meteorological Centre Forecasts

The Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre has announced that the sun is projected to be directly over Sri Lanka from April 5 to April 15, owing to its apparent northward relative motion.

During this period, specific areas in Sri Lanka, namely Balapitiya, Elpitiya, Morawaka, and Tissamaharama, can expect the sun to be directly above them around 12:12 noon, as indicated by the Department.

Additionally, meteorological forecasts suggest that showers are likely to occur in various locations within the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts after 2 p.m. Furthermore, there is a possibility of showers in a few areas in the North-Western Province and the Nuwara-Eliya district during the afternoon or night.

Moreover, misty conditions are anticipated in certain areas of the Western, Central, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts during the morning hours.

These forecasts serve to inform and prepare the public for expected weather conditions during the specified period.
