He acknowledged the country’s strong commitment to democracy, as millions participated in shaping their nation’s future.
Senator Cardin also emphasized the significant challenges facing Sri Lanka’s new administration, including the aftermath of the 2022 economic crisis and the need for progress in governance, anti-corruption, human rights, and accountability.
