At the conclusion of 2022, a total of Rs. 16 million linked to 74 electricity supply connections provided to parliamentary representatives’ residences had not been reclaimed, as disclosed by the Annual Auditor General’s Report 2022 during a random test.
The report highlights that Rs. 5 million pertaining to 29 connections has been outstanding for over six years. Concurrently, an additional Rs. 3 million for 30 connections has remained unrecovered for more than one year, raising concerns about the delayed retrieval of these funds.
