Vegetable prices in Sri Lanka witnessed an alarming spike on Tuesday (16), reaching unexpectedly high levels, according to confirmation from the All Ceylon Economic Center Trader’s Association. The price hikes reported include:
- Carrots: Rs. 2000/- per kilogram
- Beans: Rs. 1000/- per kilogram
- Green Chilli: Rs. 800/- per kilogram
