Virajini Tennakoon’s novel Camellia has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Golden Book Award.
The 18th annual Golden Book Awards, organized by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers Association, took place last night at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.
Tennakoon also received a cash prize of Rs. 850,000.
Finalists included Mahinda Prasad Masimbula’s Mai Mara Prasangaya, Eric Ilayapparachi’s Thiwanka Kathawa, Malith Thusitha Gunaratne’s Silver Trips, and Liyanage Amarakirthi’s Kalalikarayo, each of whom was awarded Rs. 100,000.
