The Meteorology Department forecasts intermittent showers in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara. Some areas within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts, may experience fairly heavy showers of approximately 50mm.
Additionally, several spells of showers are anticipated in the North-western province and the Matale district.
Strong winds ranging from 40-50 km/h are expected over the Western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, and the districts of Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala.
