Some areas may experience fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm, while the North-western province and Matale district can expect several spells of rain.
In the evening or night, showers or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the Badulla, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts.
Strong winds of approximately 50-55 km/h are anticipated over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee, Monaragala, and Hambantota districts.
Elsewhere on the island, fairly strong winds of about 30-40 km/h can be expected at times.
