The Department of Meteorology forecasts intermittent showers tomorrow (23rd) in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
In its latest weather update, the department indicated the possibility of heavy showers, approximately 100mm, in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Puttalam districts.
Additionally, several spells of light showers are expected in the Matale, Anuradhapura, and Mannar districts.
The Met Department also warned of strong winds, ranging from 40-50 kmph, particularly over the western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, and the Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.
