The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, Central, and Northern provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
In other areas, showers or thundershowers are expected during the evening or night. Cloudy skies are also anticipated in the Eastern Province.
The public is kindly urged to take necessary precautions to minimize the risk of damage from localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
