The World Bank Group has extended its heartfelt congratulations to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his recent election victory.
In a joint letter, Martin Raiser, Vice President for the South Asia Region of the World Bank, and Riccardo Puliti, Vice President for the Asia and Pacific Region of the International Finance Corporation, underscored the importance of this election at a critical juncture in Sri Lanka’s history.
They acknowledged that while Sri Lanka’s economic recovery requires continued focus, the potential for growth, prosperity, and development is immense.
