Ambassadors of Six Countries Engage with National People’s Power Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake

Party sources have confirmed that Ambassadors from six countries convened with Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), at the party’s head office on the afternoon of the 6th.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr. Zuhair M.H. Dar Zaid; Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ms. R. Demet Sekercioglu; High Commissioner of the Republic of Bangladesh, Tareq M.D. Ariful Islam; Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Dewi Gustina Tobing and Heru Prayitno, Head of Chancery of the Embassy; Badli Hisham Bin Adam, Malaysian High Commissioner; and Ms. Fathimath Ghina, Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives.

Representatives from the National People’s Power included National Executive Members Bimal Ratnayaka, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Dr. Rizvie Salih, and Muditha Nanayakkara.

During the meeting, NPP representatives provided the foreign diplomats with a comprehensive briefing on the principles and operations of the National People’s Power. The discussions delved into the political and economic situation in the country, and the NPP expressed readiness to collaborate with the international community.
