According to the Department of Government Information (DGI), cabinet approval has been granted to gazette the ‘Economic Transformation Bill’ and to submit it to Parliament for approval.
The proposal was put forward to the Cabinet by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, acting in his capacity as the Finance Minister.
