The Department of Examinations has launched an investigation into the circulation of the English language question paper of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination, held on Thursday (09), via WhatsApp.
Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, confirmed that the question paper was disseminated through WhatsApp during the exam, with questions shared for candidates to copy answers.
However, Jayasundara clarified that this incident did not compromise the confidentiality of the English language question paper.
In addition to the English paper issue, the Department of Examinations is also investigating an alleged error in the Sinhala language question paper of the O/Level exam.
