The Economic Transformation Bill and the Public Financial Management Bill will be presented to Parliament on Wednesday, May 22, according to Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera.
In a statement, Rohanadeera confirmed that Parliament is scheduled to convene on Wednesday, May 22. This decision was made by the Committee on Parliamentary Business, chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, during a meeting held on May 14.
The parliamentary session is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. on May 22, with the first readings of the Economic Transformation Bill and the Public Financial Management Bill on the agenda for that day.
The General Secretary also mentioned that the Committee on Parliamentary Business has scheduled a debate on the adjournment motion to be presented by the opposition, which will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
