The Export Development Board (EDB) has revealed that the merchandise export performance for February 2024 reached US$ 983.7 million, marking a slight uptick of 0.17% compared to February 2023.
Moreover, February 2024 witnessed a 1.3% rise in export performance compared to the previous month, January 2024.
In a detailed analysis, it was found that agricultural exports surged significantly by 11.82% compared to February 2023, totaling US$ 255.76 million in February 2024. However, industrial exports experienced a downturn, declining by 3.36% during the same period, reaching US$ 727.94 million.
