The Department for Registration of Persons has announced that its head office in Battaramulla, along with several provincial offices, will operate from 08:30 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. today (May 04), exclusively for G.C.E. Ordinary Level candidates to acquire their National Identity Cards (NICs).
In line with this initiative, the Department’s head office and provincial branches in Galle, Kurunegala, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa will be accessible solely on Saturdays for G.C.E. O/L candidates, as per the department’s statement.
Additionally, it has been advised that applicants who have not yet submitted their NIC applications must present duly completed forms certified by the Principal of their respective schools or the relevant Grama Niladhari Officers.
Furthermore, the department has mentioned that applicants can download the information confirmation letter regarding this matter from the official website of the Department of Registration of Persons at www.drp.gov.lk.
